TikTok is built for phones, but downloading on a computer is actually easier: no share-sheet gymnastics, no sandbox — the file simply lands in your Downloads folder like any other file. Here is the whole process for Windows and Mac, plus the workflow that makes it painless.
The method (both Windows and Mac)
- Get the link. If you are on TikTok’s website (tiktok.com), copy the link from the address bar of the video page. If you only have your phone nearby, send the link to yourself on WhatsApp Web or Telegram first, then copy it on the PC.
- Open the tool. Go to tiksave-pk.pages.dev in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari — any modern browser works.
- Paste the link into the input box (Ctrl+V / Cmd+V, or click Paste).
- Press Download and choose Download Without Watermark.
- Save the file. The video downloads to your browser’s Downloads folder — done.
On a PC you also see the file’s resolution before downloading, which makes it easy to grab the highest-quality copy available.
Why PC downloads look better
Two reasons. First, most creators upload from their phones but TikTok still serves the original upload quality — and on desktop it is easier to verify you are getting the top resolution. Second, a bigger screen makes the watermark’s absence obvious: the clean copy simply looks sharper on every platform where you re-share it.
Organizing your downloads
- Set a dedicated folder. Browsers can ask where to save each file (Chrome: Settings → Downloads → “Ask where to save each file”). One folder for all saved videos keeps things tidy.
- Renaming habit: rename immediately after download — creator name plus what the video shows. Six files named “video (3).mp4” help nobody.
- Storage tip: HD TikToks are typically 20–80 MB each. A dedicated folder also makes backup to an external drive or cloud a one-drag job.
MP3 on PC
Extracting audio on a computer is the same flow — paste the link and press the MP3 button instead of the video download. The audio file lands in the same Downloads folder, ready for your music library or as source material for editing. Full details in our TikTok to MP3 guide.
Common problems on PC
- “The download opens a player instead of saving.” Right-click the download button and choose Save link as — some browsers play MP4s in a tab by default.
- “The site says the link is invalid.” You likely copied a truncated link. Copy the full URL from the address bar on tiktok.com.
- “Antivirus blocks the file.” That is a false positive some security suites apply to MP4s from unknown domains — but it is also a good reminder to use tools you trust, which is why we point to our own.
Editing afterwards
Since you now have the clean file on a machine with real software: free editors like CapCut desktop, DaVinci Resolve or even Windows’ built-in Photos/Clipchamp app handle MP4s natively. Cut, caption, re-export — and because the file has no burned-in watermark, your edit starts from a clean slate.
