The TikTok watermark — the small bouncing logo with the username — is fine while you are watching inside the app. But when you want to keep a video, share it on WhatsApp or use it in a project, that watermark gets in the way. The good news: you can save TikTok videos without the watermark, in HD quality, completely free — and it takes less than a minute.
What the watermark actually is
TikTok burns the watermark directly into the video file when you download it from the app. That is why you cannot just crop or edit it out afterwards without losing part of the picture. The clean solution is to download the original video file — the one TikTok stores on its servers — before the watermark is added, and that is exactly what online downloaders do.
Method: TikSave PK (free, no app needed)
TikSave PK is a free web tool that works in any browser — Android, iPhone, Windows or Mac. No account, no installation.
- Copy the link. Open TikTok, tap the Share arrow on the video and choose Copy link.
- Paste the link. Open TikSave PK and paste the link into the input box (the Paste button fills it automatically).
- Press Download. The tool fetches the video and shows you the available options.
- Choose “Download Without Watermark”. The clean HD file is saved straight to your device.
Videos are served in the original quality the creator uploaded — usually up to 1080p. Nothing is stored on the tool’s servers; the file goes directly from TikTok to you.
Quality tips
- Check the resolution shown before downloading — if the source was uploaded in 1080p, you get 1080p.
- Only need the sound? Use the MP3 button instead of downloading the whole video (see our MP3 conversion guide).
- Slow connection? The download speed depends on your internet, not the tool — try again on Wi-Fi if it stalls.
What about private accounts?
Private videos cannot be fetched — and honestly, that is how it should be. Downloaders only work with public videos, or links you can open yourself in a browser while logged out.
Quick FAQ
Is it free? Yes — unlimited downloads, no account.
Does it work on iPhone? Yes. After downloading, the video appears in Safari’s downloads; save it to Photos from there. We cover the exact iPhone steps in our iPhone and Android guide.
Do creators know? No. TikTok does not notify anyone when a public video is downloaded through a link.
One important note
Downloading a video for personal viewing is one thing; reposting someone else’s work as your own is another. Always credit the creator and ask permission before re-uploading — see our guide on whether downloading TikTok videos is safe and legal.
